Esperance Adventure Getaway
Visiting Esperance and want to have an unforgettable stay? Why not combine a camping trip to Woody Island and a fishing charter with Black Jack Charters? By staying on Woody Island, you are 20 minutes closer to the fish and can spend more time with lines in the water than travelling. There is no better way to experience everything Esperance has to offer.

Woody Island
Marvel at the dramatic rocky headlands, sheltered bays and tall eucalyptus woodlands on Woody Island Nature Reserve, only a 20-minute ferry ride from Esperance. Rich in history, Woody Island is one of 105 islands in the Recherché Archipelago (commonly known as the Bay of Isles) and is the only island open to visitors for day trips and camping. Woody Island lacks snakes and introduced predators, making it a haven for wildlife such as birds and lizards. It is an important nesting ground for fairy penguins and muttonbirds.

Learn about the Island’s history and get close to nature during the guided Island Top bushwalk. Fishing from the main jetty is also popular – keep an eye out for playful dolphins and inquisitive sea lions! With a wealth of things to see and do, a trip to Woody Island is a must when visiting Esperance.
Visit the Woody Island website for more information on this pristine piece of island paradise.
