INCLUSIONS ON ALL TRIPS:
Quality Alvey rods and spinning reels, tackle, bait, sunscreen, water, tea, coffee & biscuits. Your legal captures are put immediately onto ice and the skipper will gladly assist you with gutting your catch if you need help upon return to Esperance. Toilet onboard.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
Your payment, i.e. cash, or gift certificates, camera, raincoat, a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, sunsmart clothing and if you suffer from or are concerned about motion sickness and are purchasing tablets – the best motion sickness prevention is “Kwell” & “Travacalm Original” tablets, but always adhere to the directions on the box, eg, take 30 minutes before boarding.
I HAVE NEVER BEEN FISHING BEFORE, IS THAT A PROBLEM?
Not at all, we assist until all anglers attain a good fishing technique in a friendly team atmosphere. First time and experienced anglers, sightseers, mom, dad, kids, grandparents, all are welcome.
IS THERE ANY FOOD ONBOARD?
Bring your own lunch, snack & drinks. An esky is available on the boat. Catering can be arranged, please discuss with us when booking.
HOW FAR DO YOU GO OUT TO SEA?
Up to 60km on a full day charter, but it depends on the weather, target species and what’s on the bite.
CAN I KEEP THE FISH THAT I CATCH?
Yes, unlike some charter boats you choose to either release, keep or share your legal captures. At Black Jack’s we believe in sustainable fishing practices through striking a balance between our guests getting a healthy amount of fish to take home, while also fishing for the future through releasing excess fish. We thank you for helping us keep Esperance fisheries sustainable.
WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?
We recommend that you book your trip on a day early in your holiday/stay/window, so that we can reschedule in case of unsafe weather, (ie strong wind and/or high seas). Fishing charters are supposed to be a fun experience, so at Black Jack Charters we will never take you out in conditions that threaten your enjoyment. Bring a rain jacket just in case.
